About me

Irene is a Ceremonialist and Holistic Entrepreneur whose work bridges spirit and matter.

Through her practice, Irene offers ceremonies and earth-based rituals that nurture belonging, creative power, and a deep reconnection with the living world.

Grounded in love, reverence, and reciprocity, her work invites others to remember that the sacred is not separate from daily life, but rather that it lives in the body, the breath, and the natural world.

Irene’s work is based on 14 years of working with & studying Entheogenic plants & fungi, Spiritual Psychology, Plant Spirit Medicine & Herbalism, Breath & Somatic practices, and her ongoing study with the grandmothers of the Mexica Moondance tradition.

She hosts and assists transformational retreats, sacred ceremonies, community rituals, women’s circles, and creates ritual tools through her business Holy Wild.

My story

I have always been on a spiritual path. In my early years, I looked for God in the Catholic church, with Jehovah Witnesses, in the Mormon & Christian churches, and even in Buddhism. I never quite found a God that made sense to me there. I became disillusioned with the idea of God in my teenage years, but as destiny would have it, when I was 20 I came across a book that changed everything about the way I saw creation & spirituality. That book started me on my exploration of love, meditation, consciousness, energy and healing.

Books became my refuge, because I didn’t actually know people that were following an unconventional spiritual path. In 2009 I found Agape International Spiritual Center; it was such a gift to have a sense of community and be around other people that shared my beliefs.

Then came 2012, the year I met and fell in love with Ayahuasca. After my first ceremony I knew that working with this plant would be part of my path. The next four years I sat in ceremony as often as I could, doing profound personal healing work & learning from the facilitators, community, and Ayahuasca herself. After four years of study I was invited to apprentice as a ceremonial guardian. I absolutely loved being in service to people’s growth in that way. I have continuously supported sacred ceremonial work since 2015, investing in my experience and education as a facilitator of entheogenic plants/fungi.

From 2013-2015 I completed a Spiritual Psychology Master’s program that gave me important psychotherapeutic tools to support others, and was also a personally profound healing experience.

By 2015, I was immersed in intention-setting, manifestation, inner child work, entheogens, and spiritual psychology. I learned how to look within, how to listen to Spirit, and how to hold myself accountable for my reality.
But I was missing something. Despite all the growth, my spirituality was still disembodied.

Everything shifted in a big way when I dove into folk herbalism, plant spirit medicine, womb work and ritual. Because unknowingly, I had been trying to heal without tending to my roots, and in disconnect to the Earth, my body, and my ancestry.

These studies and practices brought me back to a felt sense of belonging. They opened me to ancestral wisdom, to Earth-based magic, and to the kind of spirituality that doesn’t bypass the messiness of being human, and instead supports & grounds it.

After discovering a spirituality that included my psyche, my body, and my ecosystems, it was like finding gold — no, God — in the soil, in my bones, in the rituals. I began to see the sacred everywhere, in spirit and in matter.

This spirituality didn’t ask me to transcend, it asked me to root. To remember. To tend.
And in doing so, it gave me the power to affect my reality and heal in regenerative ways; it showed me how to live in reciprocity with both the visible and invisible realms. It showed me that healing doesn’t happen in a bubble, that it is highly relational!

Once I tasted that, I knew I needed to dedicate my life to sharing it with others. So with a dwindling savings account and a passionate heart, I quit my corporate job and launched my first project, Holy Wild, in December 2017 (learn more about Holy Wild and our handcrafted ritual goods here).

Since 2017 I’ve been devoted to my spiritual path full-time, as a ceremonialist and holistic entrepreneur. My work has continued to expand with a year-long Plant Spirit Medicine apprenticeship, facilitator training in Breath & Somatic practices, and an ongoing apprenticeship with the Tlahuicoatl Danzantes de la Luna in Mexico. I am, after all, a forever student of life!

My offerings include Deep Dive ceremonies, Visionary Journeys, women’s circles, mindfulness experiences, somatic dance & transformational retreats— all in service to awakening our human potential and our ability to imagine & create a loving world where all life is sacred.

This is my passion and highest calling.

If you feel a resonance with my energy, it will be an absolute joy & honor to support you in reclaiming the narrative of your life, and remembering your rightful place in the web of life.

Tlazocamati,
In gratitude,
Irene de la Tierra
